Reading Ambassadors

The Role of a Reading Ambassador

Our Reading Ambassadors take on the responsibility of promoting a love of reading across the school. They serve as enthusiastic advocates for reading, helping to inspire their peers to develop a lifelong love of books and stories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promoting Reading: Encourage classmates to read more by sharing book recommendations and organising reading challenges or events.

  • Supporting Peers: Help younger students with reading, offering support and guidance during our book club.

  • Leading by Example: Set a positive example by being an avid reader and demonstrating the enjoyment and benefits of reading.

  • Organising Activities: Plan and coordinate reading-related events, such as World Book day, to foster a reading-friendly school environment.

Benefits of Being a Reading Ambassador:

  • Develop leadership and communication skills.

  • Build confidence by engaging with a wide range of children.

  • Play a key role in fostering a strong reading culture within the school.

  • Boost self-esteem by knowing you are contributing to a positive, enriching school experience.
