Outdoor Learning

At St John the Baptist, we are fortunate to have a wonderful outdoors area.  We have two hard surface playgrounds dedicated to Early Years -Year 4 and a basketball court for children in Years 5 and 6. In addition to this, we have an adventure trail which is accessed by all year groups.  Our outdoor space is completed with a large playing field, a Spiritual Garden and a yurt, all of which is used for outdoor learning.
 
Our Reception children also have access to their own learning area located outside of the classroom.
 
Finally, we are extremely lucky to have Cissbury Ring within walking distance which is used to enhance the learning about our local area in KS2.
